Immersive Language Learning

Goalpost is not like a formal language course, nor is it like a language phrase book. Instead it aims to give you a fundamental toolkit of words and sentences, so you can steadily assimilate how the language is constructed and be able to speak and understand it without too much thought.

Each level and its modules is devised around a different central theme, for example "expressing wants and needs", "giving information", "talking about prices and money" and so on.

Module 1: Expressing needs

Learn very easy ways to ask for things you need.

Module 2: Ask where something is

How to ask where something is, or to say that you are looking for something.

Module 3: Asking about cost

Learn easy ways to ask the price of something.

Module 4: Asking the way

Saying where you want to go and asking how to get there.

Module 5: Asking about times

How to ask when transport leaves and arrives, when shops open and close etc.

Module 6: Can you help me?

Asking people for help.

Module 7: I don't feel well.

Phrases to use if you don't feel well.

Module 8: Talking About Quantities

Using numbers, at the shops, at the market.

Module 9: Sounding Good

How not to sound like a tourist.

Module 10: Questions and Answers

Practise understanding a question and giving an answer.
